From the same organization that brings you The Waterloo 10 KM Classic Road Race each year, we invite you to participate in The 10th Annual Oktoberfest 10 KM & 5 KM Run. You can be assured of the same quality and same high standards as The Classic, because YOU deserve it. You won t want to miss this event! By providing an opportunity for fitness, fellowship and family fun, The Oktoberfest Run is a much anticipated, successful annual event with a long history of success.
Through individual pledges and participation, and through the support of many generous corporate sponsors, The Oktoberfest Run has become a successful annual fund raising event as well. It is our objective to organize a fun, safe and healthy athletic event for the citizens of Waterloo Region and beyond, while maintaining a community responsibility to the Hospitals of Kitchener-Waterloo. All pledges will be donated to St. Mary s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital. Take the challenge, join your friends and fellow runners and participate in The 2006 Oktoberfest 10 KM & 5 KM Run. Designed for runners, joggers, walkers and families of all ages and abilities, and widely regarded as a quality and fun event for all participants, The Oktoberfest Run has had participants ranging from elite athletes through to families pushing their children in strollers. This is an event for all to enjoy and everyone who participates is a winner. The Oktoberfest Run is a non-profit organization, and is organized by an experienced and enthusiastic volunteer race committee committed to providing a quality event first and foremost.
